Their dinner all-you-can-eat selection is where it's at (nice variety), and their lunch all-you-can-eat option is the best value. Some of my personal favorites include the seafood/oyster motoyaki, chicken teriyaki, and sushi cones with shrimp tempura. The service is decent for an all-you-can-eat restaurant, and if you're lucky enough to snag a table by a window, you'll get beautiful views. Tomokazu seems to attract a similar crowd to other AYCE spots, which can get a bit noisy at times, but that just adds to the fun atmosphere.
This review is specifically for delivery through Skip The Dishes, so I cannot comment on the service. However, the food is fantastic. As a vegetarian, I always order the avocado rolls and the Agedashi tofu. The avocado rolls are consistently fresh with just the right amount of avocado. Many places skimp on the avocado and pile on the rice, but not here. The tofu is perfectly fried and the accompanying sauce is delicious. I highly recommend this for any vegetarian sushi lover. After moving from their previous location on Hazelbridge, where Richmond Sushi used to be, I am not a fan of these two all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants. The quality is very poor, service is lacking, and I had no choice but to go because one of my business partner's family wanted to have dinner to thank me for my work. Despite my reservations, I went with an open mind because they insisted this place was good and all-you-can-eat. Due to COVID-19, the safety measures were decent with good social distancing. They are only open for dinner on weekdays and lunch on weekends. The menu is similar to the Hazelbridge location, with three set menus for dinner - A being the most expensive. However, after ordering, we found that all items were significantly less than what we had ordered, especially the salmon sashimi which was still frozen in the middle. When we informed the staff, they just shrugged and said the kitchen controlled the orders, not them. Almost everything seemed to be frozen and the quality was very poor. We were nearly done with our meal when we discovered this. This was the kind of service we received. Given the current difficult time for restaurants, I do not have much more to add except that I will not be returning. There are plenty of other restaurants that would appreciate our business.
The restaurant is in the same position for a dae, it is in the second floor, the decor is very modern, not too dirty, good size for restaurants, they have different price menu to choose, , from the quality is very average, much of the seafood item is frozen! I expect no top quality of AYCE restaurants, but the food needs more improvement or roll care , almost all orders we order comes out of half what we order, etc. salmon sashimi, only arrived, prawn tempura , just arrived, I notice that they were a sign for eating wasting, we order the menu, very disappointed to see something like this, many people will not come back, four safe that I do not return, terrible staff hire, also parking is.
Most Japanese restaurants are practically a dozen in the lower mainland and this one is not an exception. most people come for everything they can eat option and how much they get in variety depends on how much they want to pay. in all this eating is ok to write nothing home, but the service is extremely sluggish, although some dinge come out quickly, but these dings that require some cooking, take them time and could never come if they do not care. in certain articles check whether they are cooked all the way through, as some items like wings are hurried to these. there is also a time limit as long as they can sit (about minutes maximum) and they also charge them extra if they waste food. free parking within the shopping center is available, but due to the high number of reserved parking spaces in the parking lot can be limited and also to pay for street parking. the lack of parking during the dining room itself during the week is a large branch. my preference is for richmond sushi, where the parking is a little better and eating more or less is the same quality as ninkazu.
