Bidra med feedbackMy fiancée and I got their vegan Vermicelli veganPho with the tapioca bean starter. Staff was very kind and we were seated right away. Great place in Richmond with tasty vegan options
This Vietnamese restaurant is one of my favorites. Banh Mi Tres Bon serves delicious pho with bone marrow and their beef stew is outstanding! I especially enjoyed their unique soft shell crab sandwich special, even though it's slightly pricier than their regular subs. The macarons are cute, but only come in two flavors: vanilla or chocolate. The prices are reasonable and the interior is charming, reminiscent of an Alice in Wonderland tea salon. I am looking forward to their expansion to a larger space. Visit my blog for the full review with pictures.
Today, we were exploring Richmond and participating in the "Dumpling Trail", a self-guided tour that allows you to sample 13 different types of dumplings from 20 restaurants approved by Tourism Richmond. "Banh Mi Tres Bon" is the newest addition to this list, offering the "banh bot loc" dumpling for visitors to try on the trail.
Bánh Mi Très Bon is an adorable French-inspired Vietnamese cafe located in Smartcentres Richmond plaza. Despite being a newer and trendy Vietnamese restaurant, it is still owned and operated by a Vietnamese family. Keep in mind that BMTB is on the higher end in terms of pricing. We visited for a late Monday snack around 5:15pm and found it to be pleasantly busy. The interior has a charming nook of chairs reminiscent of a French high tea setting, with the rest of the tables designated for dining.
A couple weeks ago we were in Richmond running some errands when we realized it was lunch time. A quick google search showed that Banh Mi Tres Bon was on the way so we stopped by for lunch. We were a little skeptical at first because it seemed too hip and the Banh Mi trio seemed like a gimmick. We were wrong.
