Bidra med feedbackGenerally reluctant to leave anything but overly positive reviews, but was very much underwhelmed by the food and service here. Arrived on a Monday night which I’ll admit is eh in Richmond because very few places are open for dinner. Nonetheless it wasn’t that busy it wasn’t dead either. Most folks seem to be drinking and watching a soccer game. Server seemed very disinterested although mostly courteous although a bit aloof. Forgivable but did not help for the overall experience. Ordered a draft beer which tasted off but couldn’t be sure. It tasted like either it was the end of a keg or the lines had not been flushed in a while. Ordered burgers medium rare and they came out well done. I know this was not the servers fault and to be fair they weren’t terrible—with a lot of mayonnaise—but why ask if you’re not going to temp your burgers? It was already getting late so didn’t want to wait another 20-25 minutes for another burger. It’s forgivable, but temp those burgers out, ie use thermometers. Would consider coming back but not in a hurry. Parking: Street parking was available.
Your classic, homey, and down to earth neighborhood joint. Welcoming staff, friendly regulars, and cheap drinks make this my go-to watering hole when I’m in town.
Great lunch today at Curbside Cafe. Service was great, food was tasty and executed well. There was a decent amount of variety in the menu and suggestions from our server were greatly appreciated.
Food was spot on delicious! I had the Jamestown, which is a crab cake sandwich, and the person I was with had a cheeseburger. Both were perfectly seasoned and very filling. They definitely had some of the best fries I've had in a long time. I have to say service was slow, but that was because there was only one waiter who seemed very stressed. Hopefully, management is working hard on making sure they are properly staffed so their staff isn't overworked. We sat outside, and they have really well taken care of plants which is a nice touch.
Such a great neighborhood spot, I would HIGHLY recommend! I came here for the first time a few months ago while we were touring spots in Richmond. The $4 **** Mary’s at brunch, just around the corner from our new place, really sold Richmond to us! Since my first time, I’ve been back many times, each better than the last. The Mt. Rodger’s is my favorite so far, but they also have great burgers. The Buffalo Chicken Nachos also hit it out of the park. The service is truly outstanding, you guys rock!
