Bidra med feedbackI LOVE this place! Such a fun, eclectic display of Texas pride that you feel as soon as you step into the place. The same talented live musician plays AND sings every weekend and there is even a magician that walks the tables. The food is just the icing on the cake for this restaurant. Speaking of cake, the desserts here are even delicious. I'd recommend the Lost Lady Chocolate cake or Whiskey Souffle (bread pudding, oh! . 10/10 would and will recommend, and can't wait to return. *Also, if you're lucky you can catch a seat during the Star Spangled Banner that the musician plays on his saxophone. The entire audience goes silent, stands and salutes the flag while singing along. It is a treat to witness and be apart of.
The food was very good, and the rasberry jam included with the cheese tray was excellent with the hot bread and butter. The steak was very good, though a touch on the rarer side for what two people at my table ordered. I enjoyed the live music, which during the evening I visited was smooth jazz on a saxophone. In all, the restaurant is a nice date/special occasion place.
I had the pleasure of trying Texas Steak House and I must say, I wasn't impressed at all. I was so much counting on a mouth watering juicy well seasoned steak but instead I received a not at all juicy steak but to top it off, my steak wasn't even seasoned. That's a big no no, every steak needs to be seasoned to perfection otherwise you might as well call it chicken. Although I nor my wife enjoyed our steak, we did enjoy the week roasted vegetables and potatoes and our server was very professional and kind. I love the atmosphere and great customer service but me and my wife left there full but not at all satisfied. For $108.00, I was expecting to be full and mouth exploding with the after taste of a well seasoned steak. Me and my wife go to place to place looking for a great steak and we have yet to find that particular one. We have had some good steaks but not great ones, but Texas steak, I won't even say it was good.
Texas is one of the best dining experiences that Ive had in quite some time. They have some of the best steaks that you can get, wonderful drinks, delicious desserts, and tasty bang bang shrimp!! Make sure you ask for the magician who comes around to different tables. They play live jazz on most weekend evenings which adds an incredible ambience. Texan or not, you?ll love Texas :
I went to this restaurant for my birthday dinner on a Monday evening and we reserved one of their private dining rooms. The food tasted great and my kids also enjoyed the kids meal options. We didn't have to spend a minimum to utilize their private dining and the server was nice and friendly. We were served French bread with butter, while we waited for our order.
