Bidra med feedbackTaste the tuna Saladin and the garlic bread. Meat skewer and Fisch of the day. Don't eat spare rips, they are not what you would expect. Prices are low, Service sonetimes a bit Slow.
First of all WHERE IS THIS PLACE? Yes, it is difficult to find! With your back to the sea front, walk up the right hand side of the river. After about 100m you will see several bus stops. Immediately after the second bus shelter take metal steps down on the right. Go down and Churrascaria o Patio is on your left. There is also a private car park which can be reached following one-way streets (equally difficult to find).Mostly local people eat here which means authentic, excellent quality, generous portions! I have eaten here twice: the first time I chose a light lunch and ordered a Tuna Salad. It arrived on a large plate richly filled with Tuna, eggs, salad, tomato, onions etc. A complete meal! Excellent quality and inexpensive. The second time I ordered grilled chicken on a spies (brochette). The Portuguese often chop up a chicken in unusual chunks, bones and all. It is then lightly basted with a garlic oil and grilled. Succulent and great taste. I had fries and a mixed salad as sides. Unless you want a HUGH quantity of food, order 1/2 portions (the multi lingual menu offers all dishes in half portions). I still could not eat it all.....Eat outside or eat outside: Churrascaria o Patio is well sheltered and covered, but there is no inside section apart from a small bar. There is a TV in the corner which is promptly toned down on request if it is too loud. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming. All served by friendly staff after a reasonable wait.I would have awarded FIVE stars but for one disappointment: The toilets. Although very clean, the men's had no toilet seat, no toilet paper, no soap, no towels. Quite unacceptable!
We were very impressed with the food quality! We loved if here it was like a chill lounge! It felt so homely and warm! The staff didn't speak brilliant English but we don't have any problems with that! They were still lovely and friendly. The food was very tasty and brilliant value for money! What a lovely peaceful and quiet place!
Worst meal we had in Madeira. It took an hour before being served while we were the only persons in this bar/restaurant. My son's salmon was so dry, my dish was shrimps and squid and was hardly eatable. My daughters bolonaise stayed almost untouched. A waste of my money.
This place is out of the busy street but near the promenade. The food had average quality for high price. The service was quick for Madeira standards. Not worth the visit - nothing special but eatable for hungry tourists.
