Upprunalegt) Find this little gem here in Reykjavík Iceland. It is a tapas restaurant but they call it appetizers. Seriously incredible quinoa mushroom vegan burger. They also had some great smoked salmon and the buffalo cauliflower sandwich is worth trying as well. Nice chill vibe and prices were decent. We met the chef who was from France who was a very cool guy. He helped us find a great road to a beautiful lake. They have a happy hour for beer and wine. Make sure you pay for parking if you are there before 6pm as we got a ticket. The passion fruit sorbet was a nice finish as well.
Þýtt af Google Besti veitingastaðurinn sem við höfum smakkað hingað til á Íslandi einnig vegna þess að hann er á sanngjörnu verði! . Ég get ekki mælt með þessum veitingastað meira. Upprunalegt The best restaurant we’ve tasted so far in Iceland also because it’s reasonably priced! . I cannot recommend this restaurant more. Everything is seasoned well, and we love the combination of the ingredients on the plate. Although I didn’t ask, I thought they may be primarily locally sourced. We got the four course menu yet didn’t feel stuffed in a horrible way. Perhaps it’s the freshness of the ingredients and styles of cooking, we felt light even after devouring the large portions of desserts! 100% recommend! Servers also incredibly sweet! Taught us some Icelandic!
This place has larger and smaller starter plates. They are all large plates with different takes on Icelandic and other foods. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is warm. I love this place! Food: 5 Service: 5 atmosphere: 5.
Site away from the tourist areas. There were many locals. It has two different rooms, one with tables to take some reeds and rations (for example, the day we were filled with people watching football on the big screen of the TV) and another as a restaurant where it is quiet, with dim lights and without listening to the scandal of the other room. The kitchen is open and it is seen that the cooks work without the smell of the food that comes to the tables. The place is spacious and allows you to eat large groups. We went to dinner for four people. Two ask to share the lobster cream that was very rich, creamy and with a lot of flavor (2050 ISK). They accompanied you with slices of bread that they thanked to get wet in the cream. One second asked for the burger with potatoes (2800 ISK), two asked for lamb (3050 ISK each dish) (and I the potter’s meat (land and rich, 3050 ISK). All the rich dishes, with a well prepared accompaniment (green onion, caramelized) and a rich sauce. What we all agreed is that rations were small. For dessert we order two to share, a coffee brownie with coconut ice cream and passion fruit (1750 ISK each). Casers and rich, although the coconut in this last case we do not perceive it. The other two ask for coffee with milk, which was in a generous cup (550 ISK each). We accompany the food with two beers (1000 ISK each) and two ciders with mango/lima (ISK each). In total for four people, 23100 ISK. Price of good value ratio, although I reiterate that the amount of meat could be a little greater.
