Bidra med feedbackI don?t usually post negative reviews and I usually love tropical smoothie, but afraid to say that the customer service I?ve received at this location specifically is awful. The workers don?t ask what you?d like to order, they just look at you silently and wait for you to start. If you order a meal and don?t realize it comes with side(apple/chips/etc), they won?t ask you what you want, but will instead throw a random item in the bag when they hand it to you. No ?please?, no ?thank you?, they just print out a receipt and hand it to you silently. Lastly, there have been multiple instances where I could tell the food wasn?t prepared with fresh ingredients. If there were another tropical smoothie around I could drive an extra 5 minutes to I?d do it every time.
My first time here... I ordered the detox green and it has a lot more ginger in it and less of other flavor than the one I got from Liberia, Manassass, which was delicious. It tasted like I'm drinking a watery green ginger smoothie. I don't plan on trying this location again. I should have read the reviews for this location. When I placed a mobile order, the Centreville Rd, Herndon, location would keep it in the fridge until I get there to pick up. This location, it is left on the mobile pick up table. Fortunately, I was only a few store away when I placed the order. Otherwise, the smoothie would start to warm to room temperature before pick up. Recommend placing a fridge by the pick up table to keep the smoothie cold and from melting. The lady working there was OK but she did say thank you before I walked out. The doors on the inside has no handles? This store is much smaller than the Herndon location, and the Manassas location is the biggest of the 3. Overall, of the 3 locations that I have gotten smoothie from, this is my least favorite with Manassas being my favorite. I do like that this location has tables outside, which could be because the space inside is limited.
This was my second awful experience at this restaurant. The first time, I ordered online and when I went to pick up my food, I had trouble finding my order among several drinks on the counter. The person working there was rude and unhelpful. The second incident occurred tonight when I arrived at 8:45 PM. The staff seemed ready to close and were not attentive to customers. When I tried to place my order, I was ignored until I had to raise my voice. I ordered a smoothie with soy protein, but when I tried to drink it in my car, I found a clump of unmixed soy protein at the bottom. It was disgusting and I will not be returning to this restaurant. The customer service was not only bad, but now it has happened twice.
Today, I had a great experience at this restaurant with our corporate seating arrangements. I arrived at 11 a.m. and the lovely staff were very helpful, ensuring everything was set up and ready. They accommodated our food and smoothie preferences and made the whole process quick and easy. All of our food orders were taken care of, and they handled our inquiries about allergies with care. The customer service was exceptional, and as someone in the same industry, I understand that it takes a special touch from employees and managers to make a positive impact on the customer experience. Thank you to Vitasta and the staff for their attention to detail during our lunch order. We look forward to returning for Tropical Smoothie again soon!
We love this place and order from this special store (Reston, VA) regularly. I wanted to drop a review to specifically call the great customer service. We had a problem with our delivery order and the delivery service itself was not very helpful. I called the shop directly and the staff was so friendly and helpful and immediately solved the problem. It was such a nice experience that this will continue to be our #1 smoothie spot!
