McDonald's - Reims

We stopped in Reims to go to the cathedral as part of our ride from Trier to Paris as part of the Viking Cities of Lights river cruise. And of course we were stopping for lunch. We did not want to go to some restaurant w/ others since we were not very hungry. In checking the local area using Apple Maps(there was wifi on the bus) I saw that there was a McDonald's very close to the Cathedral. So we went to this McDonald's, really busy with lots of locals, we went up to the second floor to find seating. It's all touchscreen to do your ordering and to pay. You can choose to pick up your food or have it delivered with putting a number on your table. We were able to order two small cheeseburgers, fries, a drink each for 9 euros so I don't understand the complaint of how expensive this McDonald's is. Food was delivered promptly, though I noticed one of the servers dropping fries on the floor with someone else's order. However, staff cleaned up the mess immediately. Food was OK, it's McDonald's and we usually don't eat fast food. It was interesting that the French used a red plastic container for the fries and plastic cups for the drinks to reduce waste. Staff was around to take the trays and dispose of the trash. Staff explained that there is a code on the receipt in order to use the bathroom and the bathrooms were very clean. When we left, the rush seemed to over and it was less crowded. It was extremely popular w/ the locals so it must be doing something right.

If you need an inexpensive lunch, this place works. It's, of course, US-style fast food. But there is more than just burgers here.

Rude staff long queues wrong order dirty tables what more can I say it’s the perfect McDonald’s Spillage notice by staff but left on the floor. No interest in customers at all.

Food was OK, but were in a hurry so wanted a value for money option without waiting. But the order took 45 minutes! we almost missed our slot at Eurotunnel because of it. Dreadful service.

Ordered simple items for breakfast and they managed to mess up 75% of it with wrong things. After two attempts still got it wrong and by then it was all cold. Also took ages. Thought it would be a quick, simple option...don't bother.
