Bidra med feedbackThis place is a hidden gem. The ambience is modern, but still holds its cultural aspects. The service was great. Our server was friendly and attentive. The drinks were nice and delicious and the food was delicious. Perfect for Date Night. I can't wait to go back.
I love this place. The staff is always pleasant and the food is always on the point. Never been disappointed. Since 2020 I visited this restaurant, my excitement to go to this restaurant, is always a look at it. Great mood and especially delicious food!!!!
Sai was so good! This is our popular Japanese restaurant in Queens. That was such a hidden gem, it definitely deserves more hype. You are located in Rego Park directly opposite Ikea. We found street parking (it is meters parking until 10PM). I'm sure you'll probably find some free private parking in the area, but we ran late with our reservation. When we came to the restaurant, it was super clean and the ambience was beautiful. This is the perfect place to celebrate birthday or anniversary. I hope my friend will bring me back soon. We sat in one of their stands and began to go over the menu. You have a regular menu and an Omakase menu. We decided to order from both. We started with the Anomkaze appetizers, with 5 pieces of Sashimi. Since it was the choice of cook, we did not expect so high quality and popular pieces. The cook gave us toro, salmon, scallops... they all SUPER fresh and paired with various ingredients such as garlic crabs, chili scratches, truffles etc. The presentation was also beautiful as it comes to tiny Japanese plates on a larger plate. We have the $99-Anomkase set. It comes with clam miso soup (it has REAL clams inside), edamame, three pce sashimi, two appetizers, 9pce nigiris, a toro don. When I found shells in my ****, I was really surprised. I don't think I've ever found real mussels in my miso soup in other Japanese restaurants in NYC. The edamame is fun just to eat while we wait for the rest of the meal. The set also came with three pce sashimi. Most of the time when we go to Japanese restaurants and chefs choice Sashimis, we wouldn't get salmon or toro. But SAI gave us with caviar and fat king salmon. It was so good! For our appetizers. we were super impressed! They served us to roast with truffles, and the truffle was not only there as a decoration, the Toro had aromas of truffles as it melts on the tongue. The other appetizer was a huge scalopp. It was plated with the freshest creamy Uni, caviar and gold flakes. The presentation was beautiful. It sits on a soya like delicate jelly. It was so creative. Finally the 9pce nigiri came, it was the most beautiful record ever. Each piece was so well thought out and so beautifully paired with other ingredients. There was nothing to complain or criticize. Each piece was very good. To finish the Omakase set, we also got a Toro don. I thought kind of how I didn't eat a bowl of rice with toro, but they gave us a bite size toro abiri like sushi, it sat on a seaweed Shiso leaf. With golden flakes on top. It was the most beautiful thing. It was also the BEST bite. I'd get 100% back the same set. We also decided to get three signature roles. These were all unique for SAI, we have never seen these roles. The first role we got was the Angel Roll, which consists of spicy crispy tuna with salmon yellow top with Wasabi mayo red Tobiko. Their spicy role was actually sharp. We also tried the Ultimate Toro Roll, the fresh blue toro, avocado top with sea red toro sharp crispy garlic was the perfect combination and presentation. After all, we had to roll the cove. The lobster, King Crab and Avocado Top with Kobe Beef and Caviar makes this my favorite role ever! It was so good, the role was not wrapped in seaweed, but a sheet of soy paper. But it wasn't soggy or something. The reels and their ingredients were super fresh and they used the highest quality ingredients. Unlike other Japanese restaurants I was, they really serve you the highest quality service and food. We can't wait to come back soon. So glad we don't have to go all the way to Manhattan, just for sushi.
Going to this place while you are looking for another restaurant. Was glad I did because the place was amazing, beautifully decorated, clean, food was very well served. My waiter Tony was excellent, and the food was very delicious. Must try.
So happy a fancy sushi place opened up in the area!! We came here for dinner and got the $75 omakase and it was delicious!!! Some standouts were the uni scallop with a delicious sauce and the wagyu beef with uni&caviar. The toro piece (not pictured) was melt in your mouth soft. Miso soup has actual clams in it. Service was wonderful and the manager gave us some surprise extra treats like the bubble tea ice cream (also delicious). Can’t wait to go back next time I’m in the area!
