We went twice. Once on the afternoon of our arrival when we were dying for a drink and the following day for lunch. Both times we were served by Giovanni, a wiry young man whose smile starts somewhere above his ankles and by the time it explodes on top of his head you too are smiling and laughing. For drinks he advised a glass of Franciacorta; it was delicious. For lunch we had a nice plate of 30 month old Parma ham, cappellacci di ricotta con gorgonzola and a good bowl of cappelletti in brodo. Their open Lambrusco was light and fruity and their open Sangiovese was exceptional: full body and long finish. We'd go back again. Giovanni is an extraordinarily nice man. Whitebeard83
An italian deli at its best. Every kind of cheese, meats, treats you could want. We come to buy to take home but stay to eat then too. One of our first stops when we arrive in Reggio Emilia!
While the square outside this bar, coupled with the historical colonnade, made this place perfect for a relaxing break, be careful when going inside. : Swarms of both hungry and angry people will wave all around you like excited zombies, without any reasons. Try to find a quiet angle to sour your coffe, if you want, but you'll hardly find one, especially during workers breaktime. Indeed, both sweet and savoury food is largerly above the mean and I'll recommend to try them at least once. At lunch, you could choose among a decent spread of plates and the chef is capable of good food combinations. Avoid the swarming people and you'll find it ...cool :
