King Shabu Shabu-Redondo Beach

This has Potential to one of my favorite Restaurants. I like Ramen, but to Cook your own own is super fun and great. First you decide your meat and combinations, we added the Ramen noodles and instead having the simple miso we choose the spicy Ramen. Its not so hot, just a little bit spicy. When you are done, it looks like a total mess...but we had our fun.

This is one of the best Shabu Shabu restaurants I have ever been to. I recently returned after a few years and was pleased to see that the quality was still excellent. The vegetables were fresh and the Prime Lamb meat was incredibly thin, almost too thin to slice. The Spicy Miso broth was a bit strong for my taste, it seemed to have a beef stock base. I prefer the standard Miso broth. Overall, a great dining experience.

The food was delicious and the customer service was excellent. I had a great meal while visiting my family. There were plenty of options to choose from, which allowed us to customize our meal to everyone's satisfaction.

The restaurant is clean with plenty of air conditioning, perfect for enjoying steamy pots of Californian cuisine. The prices are high-end and the menu can be a bit confusing. Some Japanese customers had issues with the ingredients used in the Shabu dishes. The staff were helpful with the menu but mostly left us to our own devices. We found ourselves being left unattended for long periods without our drinks being refreshed or additional items being brought to us. However, the restaurant can accommodate big groups and is family-friendly.

My new go-to in Redondo Beach.... First time having Shabu Shabu style food and I was very impressed! Outstanding staff was helpful in every way.
