The Hut - Redcar

Locke Park is the principle park in Redcar. The new boathouse cafe and boating offer has complimented this scenic and tranquil area of the town perfectly.

I love this Park, its lakes, with boats walkways with bridges, cafe , play park, picnic area, mobility scooter wheel chair very friendly, so many Ducks, swans, herons. My favourite bit is hand feeding the many squirrels that live in the park, has a beautiful rose garden, pagoda rest/picnic areas, great for lead walking your dog .

This us a wonderful park with lots to see, good open spaces to enjoy a snack with family. For the kids there is a huge safe play area. Also great for us photographers with regular visitors to the lakes Herons and other water birds.

Lovely park with water features. Cafe, public toilets, tennis courts, bowling club, brilliant children's playground. Perfect for a day out with a picnic. Beach an easy 10 minute walk away. Beware of the bird poo everywhere.

Beautiful parkland and lake. We are very lucky to have such a resource in the community. See squirrels, ducks, heron and Geese. Redcar at its best, along with the coastline. Parking and in particular, disabled parking, needs to be improved please.
