Bidra med feedbackDuring a visit to my sister, we took a brisk walk along the promenade and decided to stop by Surfs Up for a hot drink. We were warmly welcomed with big smiles as we entered the restaurant, which has a 50's retro diner vibe with red banquettes. We settled in and enjoyed our drinks, noting that they are open year-round (excluding Christmas Day) and offer a good selection of cakes. Don't hesitate to stop by, you won't be let down.
I stopped in for a coffee and a bacon sandwich last Saturday. This place offers the best value on the promenade. The staff was really nice and friendly. I will definitely come back next time I am in the area.
My recent visit to this café was due to all other places being busy. The employees were impolite and indifferent. The tables were not wiped or cleaned after guests departed. The food was of poor quality, made with inexpensive ingredients.
I usually sit outside with my 2 well behaved dogs to get a coffee here, after our walk from Marske. Today the weather was atrocious, with the wind and rain both coming directly in from the North Sea. I left the dogs outside and popped in to ask if they 'd mind if I brought the dogs inside because of the weather. The cafe was empty. 'No ' was the response. One customer less on a February morning and probably for future visits!!
Went to Saltburn 2.3.23 the cafe was fairly quiet. We found a couple of seats in the window with a lovely view of the sea. Ordered a hot chocolate , Latte and ice cream. The small twenty something dark haired female server started to write the order down then quickly scribbled the ice cream order out rudly prompting my partner to go outside of the cafe to the window to order the ice cream! This resulted in him having to wait in a quew and pay for our order in two separate transactions. How ridiculous! No manners, no rationale , no please and no thank you! Drinks where fine , ice cream was fine it's just a shame people make it obvious they clearly don't like their job and let down the establishment.
