The Lane - Redbridge

My wife and I visited The Lane for the first time I don’t normally write reviews but the quality of the food at this restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced and they deserve a shout out. I had the savoury pancakes to start and Lamb Jalfrezi as a main my wife had a selection of vegetarian dishes each of the dishes were excellent and the quality of the breads and rices also deserves a mention. We have eaten in many local Indian restaurants in recent years and this rates as one of the very best. We’ll be back

Delicious high quality food, we ordered here for the first time after a recommendation and it was well worth it. Perfectly on time, very good quality meat and very highly flavoured. Could do with a bit more spice but I do like heat. Would highly recommend

Quality of food usually good but this 2nd takeaway during Lockdown was not up to their usual high standard:

First visit for us to The Lane. My husband had the Lane Special Balti which he said was well cooked and very tasty, I had the monkfish masala which was also well cooked and very flavoursome, i wouldn't order again as i feel monkfish is too delicate to put in such a rich sauce the taste was lost, that is my personal taste and no reflection on the quality of the ingredients. Will certainly visit again we had a very nice evening, comfortable seating too which is always a plus. Thank you The Lane we will be back very soon.
