Bidra med feedbackLove this place. Stop in every time we visit Red Wing. Unfortunately understaffed when we got there about 3:00 so were surprised there was a 25 minute wait. But by the time we were seated the next shift arrived and all tables quickly filled and no onewaiting. Food is fabulous. Best beans ever! My husband drooled over his pulled pork sandwich. I had the triple meat platter andam hard pressed to pick a favorite. Walked into an open fire with several spits of meat roasting. Smelled awesome and feltpretty good with the colder air outside. While we didn't wait 25 minutes you'd have had to pay me to leave!????
Ordered through doordash, got chicken Alfredo and ribs. Ribs were alright. The family size Alfredo barely covered the bottom of the shallow pan, had absolutely no seasoning at all, just noodles and some plain shredded chicken. It reminded me of elementaryschool chicken pasta. It also came with four floppy bread patties they said was garlic bread. Not sure if it was the resturantor the door dash driver but since they wrapped everything in tin foil instead of it being in containers, someone poked a hole inthe noodles anyway so it leaked all over the bag it was delivered in. Tasted extremely bland and cost $50, complete waste of mymoney. Bummed out because I really wanted the good food.
Never ate here before, and was in a hurry. Ordered a pound of beef brisket and a pound of pulled pork. They had the order together within 10 minutes, which was perfect. I've ate barbecue from some of the best places in the country over the years, soI know good when I taste it. It's also pretty well-known that it's extremely hard to find authentic barbecue here in the UpperMidwest, at least that isn't dried out and/or overly-seasoned. I was actually blown away by the pork and brisket from here! Theamount of smoke was perfect, it was nice and juicy, was hot, and although I didn't weigh it, both items were easily a poundapiece. I'm not really a barbecue sauce guy?I prefer to let the taste of the meat stand on it's own, which it does easily?but Idid get a cup of their spicy BBQ sauce, and man was it tasty, complemented the meats well. This isn't just good by Midweststandards, it easily gives other barbecue joint's a run for the money, and I'm talking about places in Memphis, Texas, NorthCarolina, etc.
Excellent flavor on the ribeye, not so much on the green beans. Friendly staff and cold beer. A few hidden fees at time of check out. No salad served with the steak. Odd! The Smokin? Oak had a few highs, and a few lows.
Great Cobb salads. I had the one with smoked chicken and my wife had wood fired salmon. They were both great.
