We've been planning this visit for a long time since we often walk in the Ahrtal. However, since the restaurant only opens at 17.00, this was unfortunately never suitable for us. by chance we could set it up yesterday and have reserved a table at short notice. Here I was able to award the first plus points. So friendly welcoming was rarely accepted a reservation. We were then also more than on time on site instead of 6:00 p.m. already at 17.00 p.m., but were received very friendly and there was no problem for the service. Our table was covered with fresh cut flowers and fabric napkins. As an aperitif we ordered Secco white and Rose ' champagne. What exactly the greeting was from the kitchen, I can't say anymore. The appetizer was a carpaccio of false deer fillet with goat parmesan and basil Sorbet. This was the hammer... the second gang was a power broth with wild ham mountain cheese crawling. The main course was a Rothirschrücken with garden vegetables. The meat was buttery, the vegetables crisp. As a dessert we chose the cheese from regional cheeses. These varieties didn't blow me off the stool. They were good, but not surprising. In the Ahrtal you expect good wines and you get them in the hunting house. The ambience has addressed me very much, so you imagine a hunting house. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The place is worth every euro. We'll be back.
