Harput Kebab And Burger - Reading

Ordered a kebab ate half of it before I noticed a black short hair in it. I was disappointed as was throughly enjoying it before this happened!

Awful, don’t entertain ordered lofted and chicken shish, tasteless and food quality so so poor chips were the worst I’ve ver had and been reheated....was recommended by a friend I wouldn’t feed it to my dog......

A very handy kebab place close to my favourite pub, the Nag's Head. I always tend to go for the lamb shish kebab these days and this place has good quality lamb on the skewer. It was tender, tasty and cooked well. The salad was fresh and they were happy to put loads on for me. The bread was a standard pitta, so no complaints there. I also liked the chilli sauce, which was powerful and not too salty or sweet. The only slight criticism was the price. A small kebab was £5.50 and certainly would not fill up most people. It probably just reflects the high price of lamb today and I'm happy with a small portion so no major problem for me. I'll be back again when I'm in that part of town.

Ordered 2 chicken burgers with garlic mayo sauce, simple enough order. Both meals came with burgers covered in a spicy creamy sauce. Which is fine mistakes happen, however when I called to say we had the wrong burgers, and it was a spicy sauce with chillis clearly visible in it, they said I was a liar and that they had now changed their garlic sauce so it now has chilli sauce in it. I asked them if this was the case why hadn’t they changed their menu to reflect this, and he said is has always been like this for the 5 years he worked there, they hadn’t changed it

We just both 3 large kebabs in reading ,i ask men in the shop if kebab is fresh he said yes ,when we come home and we tried Harput kebab shop and it was not fresh at all and we payed £25.60 so I called the shop and he is still saying that it is fresh and doesent even apologise for not giving us what we asked for so we are never going back
