Alamin Tandoori - Reading

We have been longtime patrons of Alamin and have always enjoyed their generous portion sizes. However, during our recent visit, we found that the food was satisfactory but lacked the flavor we were accustomed to, even when we requested it to be spicy. Adding a bit more salt seemed to improve the taste. The prices have significantly increased, making it almost as expensive as dining out at a restaurant. As a result, we have had to reduce our orders and can no longer afford to have starters.

I have been getting curry from this restaurant for more than 30 years. The food is consistently excellent! Despite changes in management, the quality of the food and service has remained consistent. I appreciate the convenience of being able to call for delivery instead of ordering online.

Recently had our first takeout order from this restaurant. The delivery was prompt and the food arrived still hot. The flavors were delicious and we appreciated being able to choose the level of spiciness. The menu had a great variety of dishes to choose from. Highly recommend trying this place out.

I am vegetarian and have been to many places for Indian takeaway in Reading and this is by far the best. Consistently provides beautiful food and great service. Wouldn’t go anywhere else now I’ve had this.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to taste the food as I live a long way from the Alamin..... I ordered on line, mistakenly believing this was my local Indian takeaway. Unfortunately I didn’t realise my mistake until I had placed my order and paid for it!
