Bidra med feedbackSteamed tilapia paired with wanton mee, a special combination that I've never heard of, turned out perfect. Portion is satisfactory for the price. To be frank, it's quite cheap considering your stomach fulfillment. Their stir-fried spinach is very delicious and good price as well.
Wan tan mee with fish 1 people 1 fish no problem Can also order others like fried chicken,黄酒鸡,咸鱼菜 1:30pm visit, not much people here Parking good enough as it is housing area 私房菜 Spend total Rm669 for 20 person
This home based restaurant is a gem of a find. A random Google search for noodles in Rawang resulted in our delightful discovery. Their signature steamed tilapia with wantanmee dish is a must try. We opted for the touchu flavour. The restaurant did an excellent job of balancing the flavours with ginger, all blending in harmony. The tilapia, which did have the typical mud taste didn 't bother me at all it was THAT good It was the perfect cuisine to eat on a rainy afternoon. As the portion is huge, we shared the 700g tilapia (one dish) with 2 portions of wantanmee just nice for the 2 of us! They don 't serve the tilapia any smaller than 700g/dish. We did see a number of other customers whacking 1 dish each! Such good appetites!
The restaurant is the porch of the house, giving me the impression the food is like home cooking. There were only 7 tables so not very huge seatings. Overall environment was tidy and clean. On a hot day, it can get a bit warm. As for the food, since it was only 2 of us, we had to limit our orders. We ordered their signature dish with Wantan mee and clams and a plate of vege. There are several cooking methods for the fish, we chose the chili and ginger. Taste is not too strong and simple. The fish and clams were fresh. Both the dishes we ordered came in big portions. They mentioned they were short-handed so we had to be a bit patient but once they came to take our orders, they were very upfront on the size of the fish and price. I would be keen to come back again in a bigger group to try some of their other dishes. Price is super reasonable, our bill for the 2 dishes and a drink came up to RM50. Tip: Don't over order as the dishes are big portion. If you'd like to try more dishes, best to go in a bigger group.
This has been on my to eat list for years. Came when on the way to kkb for an escape. There are many different ways if cooking the talapia, ordered the 酱蒸. Price per 100g was clearly stated on the menu and the lady boss would tell you the weight of the fish during order so no slaughter like siakap incident. I would say nothing special after tasted it, it's like steamed talapia with wan tan mee. the fish was fresh and overall tasted good. but an 700+g fish for a single pax me seemed too much as I was struggled to finish it. Guess it's the heavy sauce used to steam the fish filled my stomach. Oil fry option might be better, perhaps.
