Albatros - Ratingen

We had a very early dinner here with our 6 months old. they were friendly enough to supply boiling water for its meal and we both enjoyed our meal times. given the day and the fact that it was a weekday, we had... especially the interior of the restaurant to us and found the service very well.

As hotel gues at lindner’s, I asked for a table for a on the terrace of albatros, which is part of the same business. on this 11th august at 19:30 a.m. the sky was bright gray, but it was neither cold nor rainy....The waiter refused to have a table outside in the most arrogant way I have ever experienced. as profi of the hospitality industry, I was deeply shocked. Finally, I decided to eat in the neighbourhood and accordingly, cannot evaluate the quality of the food.

Only a pizza and beer from the bar menu, but service was very good and friendly. the food was delicious and fresh. the beer was German and cold. I think that's what it says.

I decided to use the white carving with pan-fried potatoes (which is the right choice instead of riding) and had the old beer tomatensuppe with speck as starter. the suppe was excellent and seemed to be made fresh in the kitchen. due to the addition of...Altbier (a typical duesseldorf bier) and the specks it has a completely different note than a usual tomatensuppet. the white carving was announced as a real version, that is to make from calf and not from pork. the meat was certainly calf meat, but unfortunately they did not brew it in a pan with butter, and instead put it too frit. this made the taste clear, while the pan fried potatoes were well prepared. for my taste, they might have been a little browner, but they were okay. the service staff is very friendly and they offer a good service. the restaurant in the back part of the lobby can become a little loud when it is busy.
