Bidra med feedbackLoved the food, especially the beef bolgogi and sweet and spicy fried chicken. The waiter was very helpful in making recommendations. Only reason for 4 stars not 5 is that we were sitting outside and the staff did not come outside often and difficult to get their attention.
This restaurant is in Mina Al Arab community, on the marina side. they serve nice, crispy chickens : service is good. Nice dine out with family, especially kids were very happy. highly recommend.
I've been in this place quite a few times. I love their duk bok ki and the sweet soy fried chicken and bulgogi. They do serve a complementary cucumber and radish pickle which is perfect to my tastebuds. The portions are quite generous so take note of this when you are ordering. I must try the ramen next time.
I've been to KPOP a few times now, and yesterday my husband and I went for lunch between meetings. To be honest, it's the lunch special that put it over the edge for me to review this place. At 32 AED with great portion sizes and, most importantly, really great flavors, there are few places you can get a better lunch. It comes with a drink, soup (a delightful savory miso esque broth with scallions , and a main (you can choose between a variety of fried rice, curries, rice bowls, Korean roll combos, and salads maybe even one more thing. Suffice it to say, there are a lot of options . They also give you some really good homemade pickled radishes and cucumbers (so just, normal pickles ; that, true confession, I finished before we even ordered. They're mildly sweet pickles, unlike the extreme saltiness of pickles you usually get at Lebanese and other Arab restaurants, which was really refreshing. Not sure which dish to pick? If you're there for the lunch special go for the Chicken Bulgogi Fried Rice. The flavor of the rice is subtly savory, cooked to moist, sticky perfection, and the chicken has the classic bulgogi sweet savory marinade that complements the rice really well. When I first got the chicken I thought it looked a bit dry, but discovered quickly that those first impressions were just the results of being marinated and then cooked in the marinade. The chicken is really tender, and the perfect amount for a bit of chicken with every bite of rice. If you go for dinner (or just want to order off the lunch special menu go for La Galbi Ramen. Its slightly more expensive (something like 52 AED, if I remember right , but definitely worth it. If you've had La Galbi (Korean savory sweet marinated strip steak before, I'm sure you've also developed that craving that won't be satisfied by anything else. This combines those flavors with great broth and delicious noodles. You can't go wrong with a high quality ramen, and since you won't find a pork ramen in this city (maybe country... anyone know? , this gets my vote for BEST RAMEN in the UAE. The lunch special gets 4 stars for the combination of deliciousness, affordability, and portion sizes. Other than that, I'd give it 3 3.5 stars for the slightly elevated prices.
I'd walked past here loads of times thinking it only sold fried chicken. I went inside today and they have loads of authentic Korean food, it's worth a visit. I had the Beef Bulgogi Bibimbab, which was a tasty beef, vegetable and rice bowl; the portions are quite big.
