Lord Byron - Rapallo

Restaurant located in the splendid Hoel Excelsior, a point of reference for the Tigullio hotel industry. The day with extremely pleasant weather allowed me to have lunch, despite it being November 27th, on the terrace with a breathtaking view. I chose a seafood appetizer and the iconic pansoti in walnut sauce. Well-prepared and well-prepared dishes, excellent raw materials. All this is completed by a service that excels in competence and courtesy. Excellence.

Have a drink and cigar

I admit that I did not have the opportunity to stay in this hotel, which is nothing short of wonderful, but only went there to eat at the Eden Roc, one of its two restaurants. But twice by calling the switchboard I explicitly requested to reserve a table for two (one day for dinner and the other for lunch) at the Lord Byron restaurant, which I was very keen to visit, so much so that in both cases I moved specially from La Spezia (approx. 1 hour by road and motorway)... On both occasions the availability for the Lord Byron was confirmed to me, however once we arrived at the facility, the (very kind) receptionists looked at me strangely explaining to me that the Lord Byron was closed on those dates, and that surely their colleagues had booked our table at Eden Roc. That was it, it's a shame that in both cases the table at Lord Byron was confirmed for me. In summary: beautiful hotel, kind staff, I also ate well at the Eden Roc, but two empty trips of 2 hours (one way trip plus return) each can't help but annoy.

Good restaurant, as it should be in 5star hotel. May be a bit too fancy with a lot of service levels and etc. especially Dona; menu is not so wide, but delicious. Wine list is nice. Good table with a window view. Prices of some dishes may be too high, but this is because of the environment. All in total thank you. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €100+
