Catalan Mediterranean - Rancho Mirage

I hate to leave negative reviews, but I was incredibly disappointed in the food at this restaurant. The complimentary bread was the highlight of the night, as everything went downhill from there. The dishes were overpriced and not very good. The Chef's tapas plate included some of the worst shrimp I've ever had, with a quality similar to frozen supermarket shrimp. The braised short rib was $40 and tasted overly salty and dry, like a failed attempt at home cooking. I rarely send food back, but I couldn't eat more than a bite of it. The server agreed with my assessment, so we opted for the paella as a replacement. Unfortunately, it did not exceed expectations. If you're going to charge a high price, the quality of the food should match it. Overall, I would not choose to dine here again, regardless of the cost.

Take wifey for some drinks and ended having dinner, amazing restaurant. Great atmosphere, excellent service. One of those places you love to come back and don’t want to leave.

Super chill Mediterranean vibe, beautiful decor, friendly staff, and competitive pricing for an upscale eatery. Casual attire is appropriate, 4 of us ordered about 8 side dishes and one entree to share tapas style and had leftovers. The crispy potatoes are amazing, their table bread with pesto was wonderful! Don 't skip this place. the crowd was minimal at 6pm on a Friday night it may be a hidden secret!

Food was great! I had the paella mixta and it was delicious. They did not skimp on the seafood and the seasoning was perfect. I highly recommend the sangria, the only thing I would change would be a wider variety of fruit but it was still refreshing!

Every dish was exceptionally well-prepared and delicious. Some of the best of those items we’ve had anywhere! Friendly and helpful service, good timing and ample portions! Casual enough for everyday but also just classy enough for a special occasion! Will definitely return!
