Bidra med feedbackLocated inside Haven City Market (HCM), my first and only visit here so far. My friend and I chose to meet at HCM for lunch as it is the middle point for the both of us. After walking around to decide what to order for lunch, I opted to try Belly Snout. The Pork Belly Grilled Cheese caught my eye, but I also asked what was the most popular and it was actually the Pork Belly Grilled Cheese. Pork Belly Grilled Cheese Pork Belly, Sourdough Bread, Garlic Chili Aioli, Pickled Red Onion, Pepper Jack Cheese The funny thing is, I did not know that Belly Snout was on Food Network 's Diners, Drive Ins and Dives until I went to pick up my order, because the poster with Guy Fieri (autographed) was on the wall near pick up. When placing the order, there was a pillar blocking my view of the right back wall. They do not have buzzers so don 't wander too far, so you can hear your order being called when it 's ready. The flavors were balanced perfectly with each bite. Never had a grilled cheese with sourdough, but it was perfect not overpowering. From reading other Yelp reviews, I know I most definitely need to return to try the other items on the menu. The customer service here is great.
Had a great experience here. This was our 2nd time and we were looking forward to coming again! We ordered the Chicken Adobo Sandwich with Egg, Spicy Pork Adobo Fries, Boxed Belly Plate and a Chicken Adobo Taco all of which were great tasting. The only caveat was the size of the Chicken Adobe Taco. For $3, the size seemed a little small for the portion. Not bad overall. Would recommend for anyone interested in Filipino food! ???
Had the spicy pork fries. Pretty good, although the fries were a tad overdone. Inside the New Haven Market place, so not the best atmosphere. They need AC inside that dump of a place. It was actually cooler in the shade outside....
Our family saw this place on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. We were very excited to try. Unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. We went for Sunday dinner. The food court was very busy and most places had multiple employees. This place had ONE guy taking orders out front and cooking in back. It took over twenty minutes to get an order of fries and a sandwich. Then when we finally got them we were again disappointed. The spicy pork grilled cheese was partly untoasted, and partly burnt(see photo). I don't think any butter was used to grill it. The flavor was lacking. It was bland. The pork adobo on the fries was very average, nothing special. Overall, the fries were not near as good and way smaller than the carne asada fries and chile verde fries of good Mexican takeout.
Didn't want pork belly so opted for pork adobo fries. Nice idea but very weak flavor. Service people nice helpful. There are better choices at Haven City Market
