El Cerrito Mexican Grill And Cantina

Food was decent but the prices are very high priced and kids meal doesn’t include the drink the drink is extra and I was not aware of that till the end i don’t think I will come back because also there servers don’t check up on you as much I ran out of my drink. Seems the servers are just there to work don’t even smile or nothing I went mid day and it wasn’t that busy don’t think I’ll be back.

Their menudo is huge and delicious, completely filled with great things. The spices tasted great. The menudo's temperature stayed very hot. The included ?‍ limes, onions and herbs and tortillas tasted great. El Cerrito is a very special restaurant. Thank you for the great food.

This particular location in Archibald Is so beautiful the homemade tortillas are the best in Town the Sunday buffet is amazing .Fernando our server Is so professional and very knowledgeable He is always on point in this location and the other in baseline .so come and try It.

Upon entering the restaurant, I was hit by a terrible chemical smell which immediately turned me off. The waiter was cordial and helpful.I ordered a taco salad with Carne asada (steak). It was impossible to eat, so grisly, tough and tasteless I was unable to eat it. I also ordered the chile verde to go. Later, trying the chile verde, I found it very salty and ok taste. My waiter and the other staff were very accommodating and attentive. I could still smell the chemical oder even after I got home. Sorry to say, I will not be back ?.

OK, I stumbled on this little gem by accident! My first impression of any Mexican restaurant is the salsa and chips. Is the salsa fresh made and are the chips fresh. They scored 5 stars on that. The atmosphere was like a Mexican cantina in a small quiet village, very relaxing. The food selection was very authentic Aztecan influence, very tasty. The staff is bilingual so, you can practice your Spanish, if you like. The place was packed, I see why, now. They close at 9:00 PM , get in there! This one is a keeper.
