Smithfield's Chicken N B-q - Raleigh

Been going here since they opened as I used to live right beside Lake Wheeler. Hate to say this but the last few times going here the Brunswick Stew taste off. I don't know if they changed their recipe but something isn't right about it. Please fix this. I'd greatly appreciate it. I paid $26 for a shrimp and chicken plate with slaw and stew. All I got was two forkfuls of shrimp and 4 hushpuppies! No chicken, no sides! I'd have left ZERO stars if it were possible! Never again! And I can't even post a picture of this horrendous meal! Shame on you and your staff!!!!

We stopped at Smithfield’s on the way to the beach. It was really good. We were really hungry and just bought a plate to split, I guess our stomachs shrank. We got the BBQ plate with cole slaw, hush puppies and fries and a sweet tea. I didn’t have to wait in line for too long. They took my order quickly and the food came out quick as well. The BBQ is so good. The sweet tea was perfectly sweet. We ate our plate and were able to get right on the road. They had high chairs and they even had a sink outside of the bathroom, I liked that I didn’t have to go into the bathroom to wash my hands. The tables were all clean. They also have a drive thru. We’ve stopped at Smithfield’s a few times on the way to the beach. We will be back.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs!Parking: Tons of free parking

Been here several times and they seem to have a staff that cares more now.

Pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw is top notch. If you are going to do Carolina bbq, it has to be a pulled pork sandwich with slaw.
