Dante's Italiano - Raleigh

Reservations are worth making as the place is tiny and was a bit crowded for a Tuesday. Food is excellent and portions are generous.

Tucked away in a strip mall, this delightful little Italian restaurant had a much more relaxed and intimate environment than I was expecting. The menu offers a wonderful selection of traditional Italian dishes, they also have a full bar that produces a very good Old Fashioned. With such a consistently serene environment throughout the dining room, there is no bad seat in the house. Sit back and enjoy a good drink to go with the warm focaccia bread while you peruse the many entrees on the menu. I especially found the four cheese stuffed shell with meat sauce absolutely delightful. The rich house made meat sauce combined with the fresh cheese blend is a match made in heaven. I look forward to returning in the future in order to try their pizza. Cheers!

We picked up dinner (cheese pizza, grandmas pie, and frutti di mare side salad Everything was hot and delish.(I would not order the salad again, quite small and lots of lettuce. The service was great. We will be back!

Have eaten here a handful of times, trying a variety of items. Really only a few bangers on the menu. Personally feel this place is highly overrated and overpriced. I've always been annoyed with their practice of up-charging for credit cards in the modern era. Last weekend I was beyond furious when I discovered they neglected to include one entrée from a decently large dinner carryout order. Called in hopes that they'd just refund the entrée (it's 20 minutes each way to the restaurant), but was only given the option to return or receive the entrée during a future visit. Hangry and annoyed, I drove back, with the naïve thought that they'd maybe throw a little something extra or fun in the bag for the 45 minute inconvenience. While I did ultimately receive my entrée, the only extra things I returned home with were regret, sadness, and a strong conviction to never again return.

Great food and servers. Atmosphere space is a bit outdated.
