Bidra med feedbackBest sushi place I have found yet, great atmosphere, reasonable pricing and amazing quality! This is my favorite sushi place hands down! Only thing I will warn is either go early or call before hand and get a reservation! This place has limited number of seats and they fill up fast! But oh so worth it!
Hands down the best sushi I’ve had in the area, or honestly ever! It was so fresh and the ingredients were unique. Got a bottle of cab, truffle salmon app, seaweed salad, miso soup, ultimate rainbow, and spicy himachi rolls — for just over $100. All awesome, great service. Will be coming back for sure!!!
Was Downton Raleigh for a meeting at the City Club and was in the mood for sushi... been to a few in the area but havent been to city market sushi.. so decided to give it a try .. and definitely glad I did. City Market Sushi has a cool dark cozy intimate vibe to it and not like a typical sushi restaurant so that was good ... Menu is smaller than other places which isnt bad .. So to start dinner off I ordered garlic edamame roasted in a garlic soy with garlic chips.. comes out delicious and warm.. right amount of saltiness and a lil heat but not much .. very good started and one of the best edamame dishes I've had. Next up was the Mad salmon which is a spicy tuna, avocado wrapped in soy paper... with spicy salmon, wasabi aioli, jalapeno on top. Very delicious and refreshing .. Next up was the kamikaze.. it was tuna, salmon, crab, avocado rolled and tempura fried topped with sriracha aioli, tobiko, eel sauce. Wasnt bad but wasnt the best version I have had .. the tempura almost gave it a toast taste .. The ultimate rainbow which has snow crab, avocado, cucumber wrapped in soy paper and each portion was topped with either tuna, salmon, yellowtail, red snapper, scallop, or shrimp, and topped with wasabi yuzu.. probably my favorite roll out of the 3 options I had .. the best part was that since each portion was topped with a different seafood .. it made it feel like 6 different types of sushi .. definitely would order this again . To finish it off was the green tea crème brûlée.. this was a perfect dessert.. not to sweet with subtle green tea taste and the creaminess of the creme and the crunch of the brulee top. So bonus points for City Market Sushi because they use real fresh wasabi unlike other places which uses the powdered paste in a tube.. you can definitely tell the difference.. So definitely would recommend this place for a nice cozy place for sushi .
Upon being in downtown on a Saturday. We wanted to go to a quiet restaurant and were interested in sushi. Tucked away in City Market, we came here. They gave a decent selection of unique rolls. A little too much tempura options for a sushi spot. They have a small amount of seating inside and tend to require reservations. I would not say the best sushi in Raleigh, but it is quite good. I’d come back here.
One of the best sushi places I have been too and I have tried a few !! They have great fusion options and the service and food quality is really good. I would have given it five stars if it was just a little less expensive , still I love there sushi and would definitely recommend if you are in the Raleigh downtown area ! I love there lychee sake
