Bidra med feedbackWe stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring the Giardini Iblei in Ibla Ragusa. You won’t be given a menu to choose from but if you are prepared to trust the delightful owner you won’t be disappointed. Fresh seasonal local cuisine is to be experienced here as you would be given in someone’s home and each comes with an engaging explanation and story. We particularly loved the cheese board with local cheeses, fruit preserves, fresh fruit, salami and a delicious regional layered bread. Relax into a very different, engaging experience. This is one of the highlights of our travels in Sicily.
I wanted to have a cheese degustation and was welcomed by the owner Signora Elena who made me feel like we knew each other for ages and I am visiting her for lunch. This charismatic lady explained to me about the historic background of the cheese manufacturing in the area, what type of wine is suitable and so much additional and interesting information. Each cheese was accompanied by the respective jam, marmalade or fresh fruit plus several types of vegetables, typical cold soup and 2 kinds of bread. The bistro has a very authentic and cozy ambience and it was an experience to remember. I would definitely come back if I visit Ragusa Ibla again.
A beautiful place to enjoy simple, home style, delicious cuisine prepared grandma style. Despite the theme of simplicity, the venue is elegant and classy and the food is served beautifully. Local EVO and wine enhanced our enjoyment of the food. We felt really lucky to stumble onto this place.
Un posto trovato per caso, ma come da me ricercato: è come stare a casa della sig.Elena , cibo genuino e semplice...La proprietaria ci ha accolti e spiegato molta storia del luogo e della sua esperienza di vita....sarei stata ancora ad ascoltarla.... peccato che la vacanza fosse al termine....sarei tornata.Come dire: 'semplicemente 'Grazie.
Locale troppo carino ricavato nelle vecchie mura di Ragusa Ragusa Ibla, tetti con le volte con la classica pietra bianca locale a vista . Prodotti tipici ,freschi e di qualità ma le pietanze cotte non le ho riconosciute come cucina siciliana. Forse perché cucinate da una milanese.
