Bidra med feedbackBeautiful, excellent eating, but a little expensive. we were a big party, had big garnels and a huge turbot, muscheln appetizer and brot and several bottles of wine. salate and desserts. great walk to the beach from the bridge. really funny. 100 euro per head
On our many trips to quinta do lago we have passed gigi’s rewritten times. we will go on, based on our first and last attempt to eat there. Despite the mixed TripAdvisor reviews, we decided to trust our local friends...and we booked a table for Sunday dinner on Tuesday. we came at the right time noticed our booking was the first on the list and were immediately told by a very arrogant looking type person that the only table was available either inside the very loud bar area playing loudly grounded music or on a very windy table next to the kitchen. we have voted with our feet. there is no point when a reservation system when the selection tables are given away to go into. we have enjoyed wonderful hospitality in many restaurants in the quinta do lago and vilamoura restaurants, unfortunately this restaurant is not one of them and connects others under the quinta do Lago-Besitzer-Banner. we'll never be back.
We had a great lunch here, haven’t been for 5 years but the freshness of the fish and other dishes is the best in the area. The wine also good…don’t agree with other reviews about being overpriced as the fish is so fresh premium....Downside the staff were not arrogant but definitely pretentious and condescending!
Because we had dinner around 19 o'clock in the evening and wanted to eat only a little bit for lunch, we went to gigi’s for an salat (of which there are 3 on the menu). However, we were told that we had to order one of the fish courses. the other elements that are also on the menu. because this cannot justify a review, but the way we (not) were greeted was the arrogance and contempt with which we were treated by restaurant staff, a shame. So we went for this salat to the nearby hotel quinta do lago, where we were treated with the ease and respect we are used to in portugal.
O Gigi não é um restaurante como os outros. O dono é uma personagem com o que isso tem de bom e de mau. O bom é que assegura o melhor peixe, o melhor serviço e cobra em conformidade sem falsas vergonhas. Trata bem as pessoas com quem simpatiza e não presta qualquer atenção quanto mais vassalagem a betos para grande escândalo dos ditos cujos. Agora melhor robalo, pregado ou cherne ou mesmo picanha é difícil. E pode-se almoçar às quatro e cinco da tarde. O Gigi devia dar mais atenção às casas de banho e a um ou outro pormenor. Mas quem quer mais um restaurante igual aos outros?
