Bidra med feedbackThis little jewel is next to a Fairfield Inn, and little has changed since I last visited it in 2019. The wine list is only 19 choices, but they were cured by the owner and all saw great decisions. This visit I chose some pasta, the Rigatoni with Italian sausage and cale, a Cesars salad, with a dessert of cherry cake with a dip of ice. The wine through the glass is quite limited, but the markup seems 2X or less, so I chose for a bottle of the Paul O'Brien Pinot Nior 2018 at $55 and took the remaining half bottle with me. Service was excellent by Jenny N., and that still seems a hidden gem. (And all I had to do was walk over the parking lot to my room)
Certainly enjoyed the food, service general experience. I called a mood. Bravo to everyone from the hostess received to the busboy. We recommend the atmosphere, service usually the delicious food!
After a long day of traveling we did not know what to expect in Quincy IL. This place was right outside our hotel but what a gem. Great food, wide variety of unexpected options for wines, cocktails and ports. The staff was super. Felt like a family run business that takes pride in what they do. If we are in the area will definitely stop in again.
They have a fun bar as you walk in the door bar tenders there really know what they're doing with craft cocktails. It opens about 4:30 I'd get there about 5:00 because by 6:00 the place is packed. To start had an Old fashioned, enjoyed a bowl of the lentil soup it was very impressive. Then for main course had the sausage and kale pasta it was super wow good. Nice wine by the glass choices. The staff is very attentive and fun. A lot of locals dining there fun crowd!
Drove into Quincy to see our HS football team play the home team. Needed dinner the night before and stumbled upon this gem. Let me start off by saying the atmosphere was fantastic, it was cozy, warm, and welcoming. The hostess and waitress were both outstanding and recommended house specials. But as you guys already know I went with the old fashion and steak. (No better combo). The old fashion was top-notch and perfect for a summer day and just what I needed after a long drive. The steak was perfectly cooked and paired well with the mashed potatoes. I cannot stress this enough, if you are ever in Quincy this is the place for dinner and cocktails. Don't waste your time anywhere else.
