Samurai - Quezon City

Eastwood is known for its restaurants, apart from being a business area filled with offices and residential buildings. many of these restaurants have price points that are usually lower, p200 per head. there are also some who have higher per head average cost. However, there is still a series of places to eat here, which it will not even cost half as much. in the second stage of the citywalk 2 you will find a few food cuts. we ate at some of them and we always wanted to try samurai for their Japanese almost food.

I'm not sure if it was a time management problem, but eating comes out late from the kitchen until most of us had to stand up with pending appendages at the counter to make sure our food came out. taste is so, nothing special to expect.

I have the california maki and gyoza for the exit. Both lubricated very well. next time I tried the sushi sampler. not bad, had complementary suppe, but I liked the california maki better. this will be my way for california maki request to be on a budget.

Before takoyaki became popular in the Philippines, Samurai, I guess, were the first ones to sell them. I first had takoyaki in Uniwide Carriedo maybe 25 years ago .Other than takoyaki, I love their sukiyaki and gyudon. For the price the food is excellent and filling. However, their sukiyaki used button mushrooms instead of shitake and gyudon did not have egg. I cannot complain though with the price and taste. My new fave food court bite in Eastwood.

I would recommend Samurai for people who have a craving for Japanese food, but are also on a very tight budget. Food is good enough, but their takoyaki is one of the best I've tasted.
