Bidra med feedbackA friendly cozy place. The food was pretty good, although a bit salty for my taste and the orange drink that came included was a watered down sweetened orange juice. The owner is very nice but it was a by bit funny when he said everything is vegan... except... all the non-vegan things we pointed out to him. However, very nice.
It's hard enough to be a no-oil vegan in the US, but it's doubly hard in a foreign country with limited gringo Spanish. That said, my husband and I were so happy to find this little gem of a restaurant within walking distance of our hotel on the main plaza in Quetzaltenango. We were able to get green smoothies for the first time in our visit to Guatemala (over three weeks), The waitress bent over backwards to be of help to us on menu choices. I got a pasta dish; my husband got a nice, big salad. On top of it, we got some very nice natural tea to end the meal. The waitress was so nice as to give us some baggies with the tea we had. We fell in love with the tealo in Guatemala! The relaxed environment and meal was just what we needed after a long day of travel!
Ever since the first time I ate here, I come here every time I am out of food at home. All the food is healthy and delicious! It is also very affordable. I don't know many places to eat vegan food here that doesn't cost a lot, so I love this place.
I had a buddha bowl and a panini at this restaurant, both made in-house including the seitan. The buddha bowl featured a delicious lentil patty. The food was simple yet full of flavor, and the owner was lovely.
There are so many options and they are all really good. Paninis, bowls, burritos, and often cakes. My favorite vegan place in Xela.
