Tall Tales Tavern Grille - Queensbury

This is located within the Great Escape Lodge. My boyfriend and I decided on sharing some apps. Mozzarella sticks, pretzel bites and boneless wings. Everything was so delicious!! I can't even pick a favorite. For our wings we chose bbq and sweet chili. Bursting with flavor! The beer cheese with the pretzel bites was very good, and the marinara sauce with the mozzarella sticks was good too..it was a bit sweet! Service was exceptional! Megan was our waitress and she was very sweet, funny and personable. 5 stars all the way!

We visited because we had a gift certificate. Not sure it would be my first choice for a dining experience again. We were greeted very gruffly by the hostess who acted annoyed when there was no one else in the place and she tried to seat us by the door we asked if we might sit at another table. The waitress was it least a shade friendlier. Cocktails were delivered promptly and my dinner companion was given a taste of the draft because the menu that was on the table did not represent the beers that they actually currently were serving. We did have to ask a second time for a glass of water. We went with what was advertised as individual pizzas. They were much larger than either of us could eat individually. I suspect a premade crust, but generous in toppings one of us went with the vegetable with barbecue chicken as a bonus and the other pepperoni and mushroom. We did appreciate that the waitress asked if we were staying at the hotel, she advised us the pizza boxes would not fit in the refrigerator and she was going to box them differently if we were staying at the hotel. Not sure I'd make an unplanned trip but if I was staying at the hotel not the worst meal you'll ever get.

The food was average. The service was average. They have a good selection of beers. The pulled pork was dry, the grilled chicken ceaser wrap was good...needed more chicken. Apparently they love Red Gold ketsup. My Burger was very tasty...my wife once again doesn't like tomatoes out as they are usually peekid and not ripe enough. Jim my server was nice, not anything to write home about.

I asked for no tomatoes and I got tomatoes on my burger and it was heavily over cooked, my brother asked for nothing on the burger and he got everything on it. my nephew didn't even eat the chicken strips.
