Restaurant Louis-Hebert - Québec

Eating was very good at this beautiful place on a street with restaurants. my man had steak, which he thought was fantastic, and we had suppen (heavy and laek) and dessert (blue cake, which was more like cake) which were wonderful. my main course of the penne with smoked salmon was good, with a delicious light sauce and much laughs, but the pasta itself was common. the service was friendly and leisurely and I was glad not to hurry, but also glad that I was not in a hurry to come somewhere. it was a perfect night to eat outside and we had a nice meal.

Not the debt of the restaurant, but I was right ahead, a few meters from the host and received a parking card, although I had paid and left the entrance on the board. this was our first time in qc and so it was quite disturbed.

The perfect destination in old quebec for an amazing meal. the service, the ambiente and especially the eating were absolutely perfect, and I will plan a trip to quebec to experience it again.

The food was exceptional. We had to wait for our food for over an hour. It was totally worth it. I had yellow beet salad and the most delicious sweetbreads with wild mushrooms and risotto. My husband had salmon tartare and lamb, which was excellent as well. The creme brûlée was one of the best we ever had. Even kids devoured their kids Meals of steak and salmon with vegetables, which was miracle by itself. Overall this experience was the most memorable.

Mid-week anniversary dinner. Food was very! good: sweetbreads; tartare; foie gras; magret de canard. Couldn 't stay for dessert as we had to rush off to an evening tour. Service uneven: first waitress clearly hadn 't read our resevation notes/requests and seemed not to be receptive to our desires. Second waitress very nice, but didn 't bring out the dishes in the requested order (could have been ordering mistake from first waitress), though she was very quick on the turnover. However, we ended up having to flag down a third waitress to get our bill 20 minutes after we asked the second waitress because we would have been late for our tour. Location on restaurant row in the city (outside of Old Quebec, but not far at all). I would try it again.
