Shorty's Place - Punta Gorda

I love this place, my favorite dive bar. Cheap drinks and free pool!

Had a great time at Shorty's even though it was cold out. Outside service as well as an inside area to play pool, and stay warm. Great area to walk around Punta Gorda see the shops and stop in to have a beer.

Rude .... Kitchen is not open on Thursday 's or any day after 3:00pm ?! Who knew ?! No sign anywhere with That tidbit of information .... Oh, and just a heads up .... The waitress does not answer to ...Hey..... or anything else for that matter (technically, she does because she immediately turned to me to tell me how she does not answer to "Hey ! .... Shorty 's advertises Lobster Rolls and Clam Chowder, we really wanted to try it.... I guess we will just find it somewhere else ... or make our own. Thank 's for Nothing, Shorty...No Ambiance...

I write this as a public service. We went there today to try their Maine Lobster Roll. Big mistake. The tasteless lobster came out on a white bun and was served plain-no sauce no nothing. It was dry, tasteless and very disappointing. The only reason this restaurant got a one star is that they serve beer and it was cold and refreshing. Stick with the beer!! Really, don't order anything off the menu-even the chips had an expectation date of December 2022
