Bidra med feedbackPecos Red is a really cool roof restaurant above Parijat candy (Viman Nagar). It offers roof and covered seating and both are comfortable. Pecos is a chain of Bengaluru and the taste is also influenced by the south. Ghee roasts, Podi masalas and spicy Garam masalas are used in many dishes that make the taste very unique. Small bites (parts to pocket-friendly price) you can taste many dishes and meal combos offer great value for money. Very cheap, bar menu is also good. Retro English music to complicate the topic. Arbi chips were crispy and tasteful. Very tasty and only a perfect chakhna. Never thought Arbi would taste so nice. Ghee Roast Paneer had loads and loads of Ghee mixed with South Indian Masalas, which gave it sinful aroma and psychic taste. That was one of the best disc dishes I've ever had. Chettinad Mushroom was loaded with spices and soaked in ghee. Order if you like spicy food. Paneer Thecha is absolutely simple and yet breathtaking. The combination of soft and fresh wiper with Thecha gave an amazing kick. Even when I write about it, my mouth watered – green chili, roasted peanuts and a garlic made this thecha divine. Veggie Joy Flatbread has been loaded with paprika, mushroom and other gourmet viggaries. We had Pecos Veg Curry Dosa for the main course. Taste of the ghee in the curry and on dosa was just perfect. Golden brown roasted cansas were really amazing. Curry was brownish and had perfect mix of spices. Portion size Curry is good enough for 2 and pretty VFM.
Pecos is one of the happening places around the Viman-Nagar area. Easily accessible from maim highway. I loved the atmosphere, ambience and interior of the place. If you are looking for the weekend/weekday fun along with some drinks, this place is absolutely in the list to visit. The music played at the background with blues and retro/classic songs is lit af. If it comes to food, the taste is amazing and prices are quite heavy compared with the places around. Even the liquor prices are little different with respect to places around but it is quite reasonable considering the place and services. Do visit if you are around and enjoy the food and drinks.
Ambience was great, music was excellent. Rates were reasonable. We tried beetroot chicken which was best of the rest. Chilly chicken South Indian style was good. In dessert butterscotch ice cream with caramel cake was okay. Manager was courteous. In end the gave us complimentary red velvet cheesecake which was icing on cake. Highly recommend this place.
Visited PECOS Pune because of it's popularity in Bangalore. Pros: 1. Their ambience and music blended well together. They were mostly playing songs by Bryan Adams, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Eagles and SOAD. Good vibes I must say. 2. They are most popular for their south Indian dishes and I totally see why they are so. 3. The place was spacious and had outdoor seating as well. 4. The service was really good. The floor manager himself can and gave his suggestions which helped us make our mind. 5. Their starters are so good, you won't have to go to main course. Cons: 1. The A/C for indoor seating wasn't working. It felt a bit stuffy in there. Recommendations: Kerala Coconut Fry Coorgi Pork Beef Butter Butter Pepper Garlic Beef Dry Fry Moonshine(Apple Cider flavour) Beer made out of mead. Hot Toddy
A well known Pub, one of the oldest and top five must visit places for pubbing /music lovers in Bangalore. Opened in the year 1988 by Jimmy Kuruvilla. The popularity of the bar increased as they played music, which the customer's shared and reasonable pricing of beers/alcohol/food so that everyone could have a great time…thereby increasing the number of regular patrons. Pecos RED ,a roof top bar is now fully operational in Pune barely a few weeks old. They serve some delicious and mouth watering South India delicacies in Coorgi style, Andhra style and Chettinad, Mangalorean, Karvari style apart from the regular menu of bar bites and mains, both local and diverse.. And a variety of meats pork, chicken, beef, mutton and fish. Certain dishes are not for the faint hearted and some are their own signature recipes . The pricing is reasonable. The bar is huge and has an extensive list of alcoholic, non alcoholic beverages and beers. The bar is very attractive with reddish hues and the music playing in the background was Retro. In fact the word ‘RED’ stands for Retro Experience Destination. Dine and wine as they play cult rock music. You begin to tap your feet. Music and picture frames feature Prince, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, The Doors, Queen …etc Cozy and comfortable seating indoor/outdoor allowing you to enjoy in a relaxed no hurry manner…overlooking the sky above and the lovely monsoon mist. #foodtastinginvite #launchpartymenu The menu was preset. However had a surprise twist. Those invited played a Chinese Checkers board game played between two. #sideone were Orange_vodkas and #opponentside were Blue_curacao_vodka shots essentially paws. (Unlike a chess game which has bishops, knights, rooks and paws with the King and the Queen . Here you move only one paw at a time, eventually moving forward as you kill your opponent. (you gulp down the shot and put aside the empty glass. with interesting twists. The game was noisy, sporting and highly interactive as each team cheered!! You should try this. About the drinks and food I had : #PeachSangria :Perfecto. Red wine and peach combo was outstanding. #ElderflowerSangria : Refreshing and smooth. #Vodka shots : mild #Appetizers #Peri_peri_Chicken_flatbread : Soft thin base, lots of meat, pineapple and oozing cheese. You can request for a crisp base. #delicious #Chicken_Bbq_Wings : mild, sweet, tangy. I find wings is a good choice as finger food with a drink #recommended #Chicken_Ghee_Roast : it was perfect. However the spice is on higher side. Yummy with fire #recommended #Coorgi_Pork : was moist, semi dry spicyyy! #Dosa_with_Pecos_Chicken_Curry :mild flavorful curry with small pieces of chicken. The dosa made in ghee, soft homely #recommended #Mutton_Kheema_with_ladipav: Something was missing in the gravy and didn’t enjoy the taste so much. A surely must visit place. Have a look at my pictures. Some pictures shared courtesy by the management.
