Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere with incredibly friendly and helpful staff who speak English. They were knowledgeable about vegan options and helped us choose some delicious herbal dishes that were reasonably priced. They even accommodated special requests. During our week on the island, this restaurant stood out. The only downside was that it was not entirely vegan, which is why I deducted a star.
I tried the sweet Endang dish and loved it. They have other vegan sauces and ice-free noodle options as well. The restaurant does not have electricity during the day, so they cannot serve items that need to be cooled, like tofu. However, the variety of vegetables was enjoyable. I had a conversation with the cook who was able to explain the differences between vegan and vegetarian options. It's best to ask for Color, the cook, to explain the vegan choices as his English is limited. This will prevent any misunderstandings, like the one mentioned in a previous review. The restaurant is now aware that they are the only place listed in the app, so hopefully they will continue to provide excellent service and not disappoint.
Despite the friendly exchanges between us and the server, we were mistakenly served fries with mayo and an omelette with mayo, even though we had clearly stated that we were vegan. We also requested drinks without straws, which we had brought with us, but they only remembered to provide them at the end. Unfortunately, the food itself was not very impressive. The fries were bland, the tempura was greasy, and the banana juice tasted like syrup. We never got to try the spaghetti we ordered because it was forgotten (which seemed to amuse the staff). To top it off, our dishes were served with a 30-minute difference between them. Overall, not a place we would recommend.
