Rios Vegan Food

They must go to rio vegan eating. I am so grateful that this place exists. we bought some different vegan empanadas and they were delicious. we also tried the pain au chocolat and they were just as we reminded them to be vegetarian. Actually, just go here. it's incredible!

Have made here the best adventures of my life! also a very good croissant. we took to the beach for a picnic and had a very happy meal.

Visited this stall at the Saturday market and highly recommend the empanadas served with a smile : They also have banana bread that is vegan, gluten free and sugar free. This is delicious toasted!

Wow!! We were so blessed and grateful to have found this wonderful and lovely couple in Puerto Viejo. We were looking for vegan food and we stumbled upon Rios Vegan Food and contacted the owners. They replied within minutes and it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. They have items for sale at some of the local shops and they are at the Saturday Market in town but they also do orders for pickup. We took advantage and ended up ordering from them at least a dozen times while we were there. We ordered empanadas of all flavors including our favorite mushroom, zucchini and béchamel sauce, the curry chickpea, and the eggplant. But every single one was amazing and the filling and dough was perfection. We also loved their gnocchi which was gluten free and made from yucca! So delicious! We even got inspired and made some at home hoping to recreate the experience. They offer all types of dishes and platters even burgers, salads, tortillas, desserts and lots of authentic Italian meals like eggplant Parmesan and lasagna. And every single thing they do is so incredible that you always want more. They are truly passionate about good food and people and it’s obvious in everything from the presentation to the portions to the very reasonable and affordable prices! They are a beautiful couple inside and out and we were so lucky to have met them and to have experienced their cooking. They are kind, genuine, warm and definitely cook with love! The empanada and the lentil burger patty were really big and delicious. I also bought the eggplant hummus, which is great as well, and they have even other options like beetroot or spicy hummus.
