Bidra med feedbackWe visited this restaurant this week. It is a must go to location when visiting Puerto Vallarta. The cab ride up the hill to the hotel is a fun trip. Once we arrived, we were welcomed into the hotel and restaurant. Our table selection could not have been better. We chose up front and in the corner. As we were relaxing, mother nature decided to provide an excellent show in the form of a thunderstorm. The rain and lighting were awesome! the staff were quick to close the glass panels to shield us from the rain, but we thoroughly the show and the rain. We were quickly provided drinks and menus. as we relaxed, no pressure from staff, we enjoyed the views of the city and the storm. We ordered our dinners and relaxed further. our appetizers arrived and were wonderful. My wife had the pumpkin soup and I the Chile Poblano and Black bean soup. We then enjoyed our salads and finally our main course. I had the pork shank which was incredible, and my wife had the Poblano Chile in Puff Pastry. Dinner was followed by a Vanilla Panna Cita. One of the best dining experiences that we have shared. Wonderful service, amazing food, and the scenic views are incredible.
We have been here for years and always have a wonderful experience. last night the 20th february was a chaos. it was like a carnival. bad service, do not eat as well and big parties booked that ruined the night for smaller parties. we've never seen the restaurant like that, and the manager didn't even seem to care. we had to wait 30 minutes to get our neck after we asked him three times. what a disappointment.
Wonderfully nostalgic spot. The dinner, drinks atmosphere, view, staff. Our evening with friends at the Iguana was fabulous.
I came her back in 1997 when I was 10 years old with my family and I didn 't remember a lot about it other than the crazy uphill drive to get there but when I told my dad we were going to Puerto Vallarta he said I had to go to Iguana, and when I saw it was still open I booked a reservation online immediately through OpenTable (Mexico) and put in the notes it was our 10 year wedding anniversary. We arrived and were immediately seated by the window overlooking the mountains and such a BEAUTIFUL view. The food and drinks were amazing and the waitstaff was SO friendly and helpful. Ambiance was also wonderful and romantic but mind the flies! It is a wide open eatery after all. Then when the waiter came with our dessert they wrote on the plate Happy Anniversary! It was a great experience and if you can afford the restaurant (about 20 per plate and the 2 of us spent around 200 USD but we ordered a couple glasses of wine each, appetizers, and dessert), then absolutely go! You won 't be disappointed!
I ordered the Iguana drink, Iguana Salad and Pork Shank, my husband ordered the Short rib and cucumber mint margarita and it was amazing!! This food melted in our mouth and had an amazing view! Staff is very friendly.
