Bidra med feedbackThe last time we had ice cream this good was at a gelateria in Rome. Whenever we return to Melaque, we head to this place where the creamy concoctions are made and served by the family and available by the scoop or th litr to go. The vanilla chocolate chip is especially yummy, and the coffee put us over the moon. By the way, the name is Helados Portobello, not Heledos Portabelo.
We usually treat ourselves to the milk-free sorbee (sp? lemon and strawberry are two favorites. Very good prices.
Fabulous home made ice cream made by a very friendly and hospitable family. chico size for only 15 pesos. A great after dinner spot to sit outside with a treat (a few tables) and watch the wonderful town of Melaque go by.
We stopped in here after having some tacos in town. Loved the selection and quality of ice cream. And the gentleman (owner) who served us was friendly, helpful and took pride in the homemade ice cream he served us. He had at least 20 kinds of ice cream, flizen yogurt and sherbet. Also available: popsicles and ice cream cakes. We had coconut/pineapple and vanilla chocolate chip. Can't wait to go back for the blackberry cheesecake flavor !
This little shop on Ramon Ferrias, Melaque's main tourist street, dishes up delectably creamy ice cream in familiar flavors. We had a single-scoop cone of mint chocolate chip and will be back to try more of the tastes on offer.
