Amazing place to eat hidden away but worth the find

The food here was absolutely delicious and very well priced for the area. We had the filet mignon and the seafood pasta. The steak was cooked very well and was an excellent flavorful cut of meat. The seafood pasta was well portioned and the shrimp was bursting with flavor each bite. The only negative I would say is that the asparagus on the side of the steak lacked flavor. It needed additional roasting and or garlic butter. The other dishes were so good though it well overshadowed the veggie. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place

I have been to Chenendos several times over the past several years. It is consistently amazing! I am shocked that there are not people lining up at the door. It’s a little off the beaten path for those that stick with Zona Romántica. But I can assure you, it is worth the extra couple of blocks. It’s right near the market on Lázaro Cárdenas. The best steak I’ve had in Vallarta (cooked perfectly). The seafood pasta is also amazing. So is the chicken. My friends also live the coconut shrimp. Trust me...Chenendos does not disappoint. Ever! Side note...the baked potato is not like a NOTB baked potato. It’s more like a twice baked potato. Delicious. Go. Be wowed. Enjoy.

We went to Chenandos for Valentines Day dinner and there was 4 of us. We all had an amazing meal and service was amazing. It is an owner operated business and the recipes have been in the family for years. They had strawberry cheesecake for...one of the desserts and it was creamy instead of the usual dense cheesecakes I have had in the past. The family was so helpful and the Chef/father even came to the table to make sure we were enjoying our dinner which we were. Their 2 adult sons also work there and were great to deal with as well. Totally would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for quality food.
