Dresden Cafe - Puerto Montt

Local brew beer, but season is lack of flavour. IPA has a strong hops flavour. Pizza is a disaster, small portions of toppings, partially burned, lack of flavor... service is courteous but never came to ask if we needed something else or to pick dishes up.

Chupe de Jaibo was sub-par, cafe americano quite bland, and service inattentive. Would advise to pay attention to the other reviews that warned against a visit here. The WiFi was a slightly redeeming factor, and given the somewhat lacking options for cafes in Puerto Montt, I would consider dropping in to give it one more try, but the walk to Magnolia Coffee Bakery is not long and well worth it. After some absolutely amazing Chupe de Jaibo at La Luna in Punta Arenas, the lunch at Dresden was disappointing.

ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST ! I HAVE BEEN THREATENED BY THE OWNER !!! HE TRIED TO STEAL MY MONEY !!! I was in this restaurant for lunch, and then I stayed there all the afternoon working on the internet. When the waitress brought me the bill, there was an error. One tea and one coffee that i never ordered. I then spoke to the guy in charge of the bills, and he explained me things about their system, about changing the checkout, and he wanted me to pay. I told him I will not pay for something that I never ordered. So he called his boss, and I spoke to the owner of the place by phone. This guy was one of the most DISAGREAABLE, UNPLEASANT, HORRIBLE GUY to who I ever spoke with. At first the conversation was okay, but he wanted me to pay for those things I never ordered, and I told him the same : i am 100% sure I never ordered that, i will not pay, it is your error, one of your waiters probably put some orders on my bill, and I will not pay for that. In other restaurants when that happen, they just say sorry and they correct the bill . And then, the guy asked me where I am from, I told him from France. And the guy told me something INCREDIBLE, a TOTAL LACK OF RESPECT OF THE TOURISTS : If I come to another country that is cheap for me I will never do a story for a tea and a coffee and I would pay !!! So I told him It is not a question of money ! You are telling me I have to pay for your error because it 's cheap for me ?! i will not pay for something i didn 't consume ! And for your information I am not working anymore And then he told me something MORE INCREDIBLE : you have stayed all the afternoon at the table, I loose money because of you ! You have to pay ! You used my internet all the afternoon, you have to pay !!! And that was too much. I got angry : WHAT ?! you tell me I have to pay for staying a long moment at the table ?! and for using internet for many hours ?! You have to tell the clients before !!! I have been in the country for 1 month and NEVER BEEN TREATED LIKE THIS !!! I NEVER SAW THAT !!! I WILL NOT PAY AND IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WE CAN GO TO THE POLICE !!! And then I told him I will put a bad commentary on internet . He replied me, THE MOST HORRIBLE THING YOU CAN SAY TO A TOURIST : IF YOU PUT A BAD COMMENTARY, I WILL FIND YOU ! I WILL SEARCH FOR YOU IN ALL CHILE AND I WILL FIND YOU !!! I HAVE YOUR IP !!! IN-CRE-DI-BLE !!! For a bad commentary seriously ? Threatening people ? How can you threaten your clients ?! How can you even say that ?! As you see, you must AVOID THE PLACE AT ALL COST. NEVER GO THERE. NEVER. I HAVE PASSED THE WORST MOMENT OF MY ENTIRE TRIP in Chile in this HORRIBLE PLACE.

Awful. Worst pizza, tourist trap … We went to grab a bite and took pizza, beer was 5 eur per glass and pizza (salami, dough and cheese) 12 euros, they did not bother to ask if we eanted to give a tip and included it anyway. Would never go there. Expensive and bad service.

Great beer and best pizza I had in chile! very clean and great service.
