Bidra med feedbackMy friend and I reached our goal after two days. We were tired and hungry. Since we don't know the area, we decided to eat something at the hotel. Dona Flor to save! We sat and our... drinking orders were taken. We got every glittering water and a glass of Malbec [an excellent casting! We started looking over the menu. It is a beautiful place, pleasant to the eye and clean and neat. My friend chose the Risotto-I was famished and needed some substantial, so I ordered the triple Frontera-Sirloin Steak with pumpkin flan and filled Cassava with bacon. It was a great meal and we were both happy with our decisions. The waiter was attentive and as we both spoke Spanish, there were no language problems. I would recommend it.
Food was okay, nothing special. Very expensive for what we had. Eat better in Argentina. So not impressed.
I am usually not a fan of hotel restaurants and I rarely eat at one. My wife and I decided, however, when the rain came and changed our plans to eat in an outdoor café. Well, we sat at the hotel for an afternoon and then later for dinner. The lunch snack was a good tasteful pumpkin soup, well made empanadas (heart of palm and carne) and an acceptable home salad. Everything is very acceptable. Are dinner, my wife had a beautiful chicken Risotto I and had the fish of the day and it was great! We love fresh fish and have eaten a lot, especially when we had vacations in the Outer Banks and my wife said it was the best fish she had ever eaten!! I don't know if it was so good, but it was pretty good. Up there. We paired it with a Mendoza white and the meal was great!
My husband and I stayed two nights in Panoramic and ate twice in Dona Flor (too exhausted after the case to pull us into the city... The outdoor seats overlooking the pool is very pleasant, the service was a bit hit-and-miss....I had to try the local fish, but they were except the Pacu that was excellent. We had the local selection for appetizers (the tapioca/mais-based dish is a bit an acquired taste, I had the Pacu and my husband Huhn Risotto, which was made with thigh meat (he had nothing against it). In the following night we had tagliatelle caseras and zartloin steak, both were very good. Bill was reasonable.
Have dinner here while visiting the famous Iguazu falls. I ha e the steak which was acceptable but it appears that chefs in Argentina tend to over cook the meat. Medium rare turn out to be 80%. But the seafood pasta was quite bad. The...prawns are so hard that it may had been frozen for a long time. The pasta was far too salty for our liking.
