Awful service! Alejandro forgot about our drinks, on top of that, our food took forever to come out. The people behind us who came after us got theirs first, and we ordered the same! Not much choices in the menu either. Tsk tsk

We were the first seated for evening meal. Nice ocean view. Not enough wait staff. My crab salad was full of shell, which ruined the meal. We left without finishing. Won't go back.

My wife and I came here early-ish so we were seated with a nice view of the sunset and the evening rain. Wait staff was attentive and bilingual (my wife speaks Spanish fluently but me, not so much). Every bite of food we both had in each course was great. We have only been to two other restaurants at this resort but this was easily better than them. We'll definitely make it a point to come back here during our stay.

In the entire resort (Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort), Castaways has the best food. This restaurant is part of the all inclusive hotel. So if you are not staying at the resort, you can't come into this restaurant to eat. The restaurant is partly open patio sitting. My favourite here is their piñata drink. This place makes it better than all other bars at the resort. I had their ribs and it was good but I do wish it was fall off the bones. I really like the scallop and shrimp cold appetizer. Their dinner steak is really good too. I recommend the tenderloin. Service is great here

We visited castaway last week while on vacation and had a nice time. It was a little rainy when we arrived, but it was okay because we were seated under the awning and stayed pretty dry throughout the night. Once we were seated our servers came over to get our drink orders and we had some time to look at the menu. I knew I wanted the empanada as a starter and that I needed to try their seafood dish for my main meal. My hubby also knew what he wanted to order so the ordering process was quick. The night we went there weren't many other people, but it was just busy enough to where the servers were working quickly and taking care of a few tables. When the drinks were delivered, I was so happy to try a Pina colada with my appetizer which was delicious! I honestly wish I had ordered another empanada because the one I had was just too good to only eat one. But I did have a whole entree on its way so I needed to behave. When my meal came out, it was piping hot and I could not wait to try it. The seafood was so fresh and the pasta has good flavors. I was so happy with this meal. Our servers kept our waters filled and made sure we had cocktails while we ate, the service was great. The food was delicious! We ordered dessert and that was also amazing. I am glad we visited this location on our first night because it really did set the bar pretty high for the remainder of our stay.
