This means that the service can be somewhat longer than a chain, or a large restaurant because it is a smaller staff number to do with the same number of jobs. You really took care of us. I always had a lot to drink and the prices were very reasonable. I loved her Kung Pow Chicken!
This is a pretty darn good spot for Chinese food. Their lunch specials are hard to beat. No frills, just great food. Their egg drop soup is to die for. Other than that, everything is worth trying. You don't get a lot if meat with many of the entrees, choos carefully.
I can't speak for dining at Rice King, but I have ordered takeout more times than I can count. The food is always great! I have tried various dishes, but I usually get the General Chicken, best in the area, hands down.
To give you some context, I'm Peruvian, so I have a pretty good sense of what delicious food is! I visited this restaurant at around 11:40 AM. The rice was tasty, although the chicken had a bit of a sharp flavor that wasn't quite to my liking. However, the honey walnut shrimp was a highlight! If it’s your first time here, I highly recommend ordering it. It was delicious, and the price was reasonable—not too cheap to seem suspicious but not so expensive that it felt like a rip-off. The service was also satisfactory, but keep in mind I visited during the morning. The atmosphere was comfortable enough; nothing particularly fancy, but a nice spot for dining with family. Overall, I would rate this restaurant a 5 out of 5 because the food was fresh and flavorful, the setting was pleasant, the service was good, and the pricing was just right.
This restaurant is surprisingly tasty and budget-friendly. It features all the classic dishes you'd expect from a typical American-Chinese eatery. While the service leaves something to be desired and the restrooms could definitely be improved, this family-owned establishment is a solid choice for a meal in little Provo.
