Durk's •b•q - Providence

Great BBQ spot that recently moved to downtown. The menu has what you would usually find in places like this, with Brisket, pulled, pig, wings and the like, although they have a few unique menu items like the Pierogis! The beverage menu is also extensive, with a fully equipped bar and a good selection of designs of beer. The bartender was really friendly and the service was good, and although the food was a little expensive it was delicious. I think I prefer the Great Northern BBQ, but it's very, very close. Definitely recommend to stop and give it an attempt!

We went here with Rhode Island Red Food Tours with our tour guide Lanie. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was laid back and the tour was informative. The tomato and cheese was much better then I expected! I would highly recommend both the restaurant and the tour!

Stellar BBQ experience! Their Old Fashioned was a fantastic cocktail and the service is excellent as well. Drop in if you're in Providence.

I know it isn't Durk's fault necessarily, but I have to take a star away just due to the parking situation. It is downtown Providence and parking is atrocious especially when there is a Bruins game. Once you get inside though, everything gets much better. The bar is well stocked with whatever you could need. They have a great selection of beer and liquor. The BBQ is also tough to beat. It makes you feel like you're not in RI anymore. The prices are also great. Go give em a try! Update: came back months later and still very happy with the food. The bathroom or banos as they're called here could use some more attention though. Check out the next level door handle though.

We had a nice experience on a Sunday night after a visit to Dunkin Center (which is probably a good option for parking nearby). We had the ribs, brisket, pork belly, chicken, mac and cheese and a corn dog. Everything was delicious and the pork belly and especially the ribs melted in my mouth! I only wish the portions were a little bigger. But this is truly excellent BBQ, well worth saving up for.
