Bidra med feedbackDeveloped with the quality. the pizza base was okay, but let it go through toppings. they were very close, not the high-quality food they were. something has changed with the caffe. this was the first Italian café/restaurant in prospect. I suspect that they have changed the property, as the personal seems to be Indian, not that this should make a difference, but the quality is definitiw below. Usually this restaurant is very busy and tonight it was empty and my phone order was ready before the time. I will have to find a new place to eat
Before two weeks my wife and I went to the basilico cafe, prospect for an early dinner. we love the ambiente of caffes and the beautiful blue pizza oven. at the arrival we were warmly welcomed and given a table at the window. we looked at the extensive menu. the palette of pizzas (as well as other dishes and specialties) is quite extensive and it took one for my wife and I agree what we have. we chose the highest pizza with sardellen and the Brat lamb pizza. the presentation of pizzas was fabulous and they tasted delicious. we enjoyed a drink with our meal and my wife was happy that she could have a glass (or two) prosecco. we took our uneaten pizza to home and enjoyed it the next day for lunch. basilico is a friendly place to eat with great pizzas.
This review is for basilico at hawthorn we live locally so by mouthword I have only heard good dinge and we were not disappointed. Once we went to the staff, we were so nice, friendly and very attentive. the menu looked fantastic and. very hard to decide what I was eating I thought I would order pizza, but changed my mind and had pasta wow I had tagliatelle marinara and my friend had spaghetti vongole absolutely delicious, the pasta was so fresh and the taste was amazing, can not wait to go back on the pizza.
An impromptu lunch with son, his wife and two enkelin was a warm interlude on a wet and cold Saturday. divided pizza was for most, but the homemade burger was a joy. service was friendly and warm, efficient and eating well inexpensive.
We went without a reservation, and the first impression was of a bustling restaurant full of multigenerational families and couples having a wonderful time a reminder of great small restaurants in Italy. The friendly staff set up a special table for us and we...immediately felt welcomed and part of a community group. The menu has a great range of choices with Italian dishes that are authentically traditional rather than experimental. Daily specials were noticing. Food was delicious and even though the restaurant was full, staff were attentive, good humoured and warm. Judging by the large volumes of food being picked up for takeaway, it seems that the food was also being enjoyed by many other families in the area. We’ll definitely return.
