Pkory Cafe - Progreso

Before my husband joined me here, I came here solo a few times. Each time I needed to ask directions, and they were very helpful. Now about the food and service: the menu is breakfast and lunch. Several items to choose from. And they have breakfast paquettes which are pretty much all inclusive for one price. For example, you can get an omelet, fresh fruit, orange juice, coffee and sweet bread for like 90 pesos. When my husband joined me and we went together, he loves it as well. I have not yet tried the Yucatan lunch specialties they had on the menu, but we will definitely go back and do that.

I had breakfast here two times on my visit to Progreso and was delighted with the food. The coffee was great along with the service.

Pkory doesn't look like too much on the outside (or the inside) but bar none, it's the best breakfast place in Progreso! Tucked away a couple blocks from the tourist-driven hustle and bustle of Malecón avenue, Pkory is a little oasis for 'desayuno'.First time there, I had a delicious 'chococrepe' and orange juice; the second time, I had 'huevos divorciados' and a chocolate milk.The food is authentic, freshly-made, beautifully presented, and above all, *extremely* affordable!The staff also is very friendly; both times we were served by the same diligent waitress - and on our second time, they handed us an extremely helpful magazine with invaluable information on the Yucatán.All in all, this is an absolute hidden gem of Progreso - and the only place to go for a good coffee and breakfast.

We had a wonderful experience and great conversation with Antonio who was very helpful with recommendations for local activities. The food was excellent and fairy quick. Even with our limited Spanish we were able to communicate easily and everyone was very patient with us when speaking. Will be back more visits this week during our stay for sure!! **********Important********The direction link on trip advisor takes you to the wrong place!! It is located at Calle 76 and Calle 29!!!
