Bidra med feedbackThis charming rural ice cream shop is located on the way to Sandbanks Provincial Park, with a sunflower field behind it. It was my first time trying Kawartha Ice Cream, which they sell in a variety of delicious flavors. While the sunflower field is not very large compared to those near Toronto, the sunflowers were still impressive in size when we visited. However, they can only accommodate a few groups at a time due to the narrow, maze-like entry to the field.
We had a great time visiting this restaurant. We were out exploring various places on a scorching hot day in August and decided to stop for some ice cream and sunflowers. The fields were absolutely stunning and provided many fantastic photo opportunities.
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant with its stunning views, delicious ice cream, and very pleasant and welcoming staff. We look forward to returning once the sunflowers are in bloom! And a special thanks for the delicious orange dreamsicle shake.
We loved this short visit to Picton. The staff was very friendly and personable. The fields were in beautiful condition and not too busy. Definitely go again next year.
The field was just beautiful. We were there on a sunny warm day. Spent about 30 minutes in the field taking photos. I dont know if the $5 entry fee is warranted but we paid it.
